Role: Spectral Analytics Lead Analyst
Role Summary: This position will work individually, and as part of a team focused on multispectral analysis to support data production and producing finalized data deliverables based on client requests. The ideal candidate has used multispectral imagery to classify tree species using machine learning. This individual provides oversight to technicians and other analysts in support of the team & leadership. They have a good understanding of all projects the team is working on and can fill any support role. The Lead Analyst performs rigorous QA/QC and assists in training of analysts and technicians. They produce consistent finished products and work to develop process efficiencies and improve methodologies. Lead Analysts are expected to work with clients, lead individual projects, and support overall program health.

Role Summary:
This position will leverage existing hyperspectral imaging knowledge and up to date science to streamline and improve image calibration techniques across large amounts of data. This will include improving and increasing speed of current processes which convert raw data to atmospherically corrected and Geo rectified reflectance imagery.
Analytical focused tasks include improving machine learning algorithms, as well as developing and overseeing production of vegetation and geologic products from hyperspectral and multispectral imagery. The technical specialist will also perform rigorous QA/QC and will assist in training other team members. This role oversees consistency across finished products and works to develop process efficiencies and improve methodologies. Communicating and relaying the production status of these processes will be a key component of this role’s responsibilities.

The Remote Sensing Technician (RST) acquires airborne and Geodetic ground survey data. The RST is a field based position that collects aerial survey data with topo and bathymetric LIDAR as well as thermal, hyperspectral, and multispectral imagery sensor systems throughout North America. Alternatively, the RST will be collecting ground data using GNSS survey tools, water monitoring tools, thermal loggers, spherical camera, and mobile LIDAR mapping systems. In the aerial application the RST’s work closely in a collaborative team environment with a captain in small aircraft/helicopters while flying acquisition missions. When collecting control on the ground, the RST will work in a solo environment in remote locations. Examples of collection areas would be urban roads, deep forest, mountainous, agriculture, and riverine environments. RST's configure and monitor sensor systems, track acquisition progress, download/process/ship geospatial datasets to production offices.
