Potential candidates must possess the expertise, knowledge, and capability to develop visualization software to understand data through event and relationship modeling, independently.  Candidates must also be familiar with ESRI ArcGIS environments. The Remote Sensing Technician (RST) acquires airborne and geodetic survey data. RST's collect aerial survey data with topographic lidar, bathymetric lidar, thermal, hyperspectral, geophysical, and multispectral imagery sensor systems throughout North America.  RST's collect ground data using GNSS, conventional instruments, and mobile lidar mapping systems. RST’s work closely in a collaborative team environment with a captain in aircraft and helicopters while flying acquisition missions. RST's configure and monitor sensor systems, track acquisition progress, download/process/ship geospatial datasets to production offices.

Success is defined by meeting or exceeding client expectations, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring efficient project delivery. This role requires a technical understanding of geospatial concepts and Esri-based solutions.  

This entry level position works to aid in processing and classification of remote sensing data and general production and QA/QC efforts across multiple disciplines within NV5. The Technician is able to produce accurate and precise data in a consistent and timely manner. This individual has a strong interest and aptitude for working with remotely sensed data across GIS and CADD platforms.   This job is a full-time, onsite position.
