BioAnalytics Technician

The BioAnalytics Technician is crucial for supporting Analysts and Senior Technicians in the production, processing, classification, and quality assurance of remote sensing data across hydrology, forestry, and land cover projects. It is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a flair for efficiency in high-volume workflows. Responsibilities include accurate photointerpretation, vector digitizing, and ensuring consistent, timely delivery of precise products. Candidates with proficiency in MS Office and experience with geospatial software, such as ArcGIS and/or QGIS, are highly desirable, contributing to our mission of effective natural resource management through advanced data analysis techniques.

Work Environment:

• Location: NV5 Regional Office in Portland, OR
• Potential travel up 15-20% of the time

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supports production for hydrology, forestry, and land cover projects using remote sensing data 
• Implements established QA/QC protocols  
• Manipulates and classifies data with great attention to detail and efficiency 
• Maintains precision and accuracy in high volume workflows 
• All other reasonable duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite 
• Experience with ArcGIS and/or QGIS software 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree 
• One year experience with ArcGIS, and/or QGIS software
