Role: Geophysical Specialist – Multiple Positions

The Geophysical/Geomatics Specialist will apply their knowledge of the geophysical, geologic, or geomatics domains to improve and GEOINT repositories, databases, and services. Responsibilities vary with position, but may include interpreting, and evaluating various types and formats of GEOINT, geophysical, and geomatics data; applying scripting or programming capabilities to support and modernize databases and applications; or the design, development, and delivery of databases, websites, tools, and products that are geospatially-enabled to support a multitude of GEOINT, geophysical, geologic, or geomatics issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or a related field
0-12 years of experience supporting the geophysical or geomatics domains, including data acquisition, processing, interpretation, or modeling
Proficiency in GIS software including ArcGIS, ArcPro, ArcSDE, or QGIS
Experience with geospatial data management and storage using PostGreSQL and PostGIS
Understanding or familiarity with MapInfo, MapBasic, Surfer, or GeoSoft
Proficiency with scripting in languages like Python or JavaScript
Data Analysis capabilities in platforms such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Tableau
Experience with Application Programming Interfaces is a plus
