Overview

NV5 Geospatial Solutions Inc. (NV5GS) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Account Executive who can navigate complex sales and is experienced in selling complex solutions.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in remote sensing and/or geospatial technology combined with a passion for helping customers identify, shape, and solve their hardest problems. This position will contribute to the overall NA revenue targets by identifying new customers, projects, and programs and driving new commercial projects to close. The successful candidate will also support the solutions delivery consulting team with proposal support resulting in winning new opportunities and/or funded projects within NV5GS’s Defense and Intelligence (D&I) accounts.

 

Work Environment:

  • This role is based in Herndon, Virginia, Broomfield, Colorado or Remote
  • Travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with existing D&I accounts to uncover new opportunities and appropriately position NV5GS products and services that result in revenue growth.
  • Uncover new opportunities and revenue growth by proactively reaching out to new organizations where we offer unique solutions.
  • Engage frequently with sales engineers, business development managers, and solutions delivery project management to help define and develop technical proposals that drive new revenue and that fit into customer budgets.
  • Qualify and disqualify complex sales opportunities & assist in proposal writing efforts as needed.
  • Schedule and deliver presentations that clearly articulate and convey value propositions to stakeholders that span a technical audience and senior-level executives/decision makers.
  • Responsible for accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting across all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Represent NV5 at industry events including trade shows, conferences, and other venues.
  • Engage with sales engineers, business development managers, and product managers to provide voice of customer insights to help drive future product development and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Geology, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Geography or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years’ experience in sales, business development.
  • Prior work or focus on remote sensing, geospatial, or GIS product and solutions sales.
  • Experience with proposal writing a plus.
  • Familiarity with ENVI, IDL, ArcGIS or other imagery or GIS software a plus as well as data modalities of spatial and spectral imagery, SAR, LiDAR and FMV.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Understanding of NV5G's offerings and how those can fill customer solution gaps is the key to being successful in this position.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in customer engagement and solution development.
  • Ability to develop and communicate business plans, including organizational understanding and strategic growth strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Active Top-Secret security clearance

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $100,000- $125,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
