If you consider yourself a builder & problem solver aiming to grow your career within Power Delivery permitting, then our Sr. Permit Coordinator opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position allowing you to work with project teams to support NV5’s Gas Division. You will develop a more nuanced understanding of project requirements as well as of the agencies with whom clients most frequently interact with regarding permitting. You will perform assignments designed to process and submit permit packages to public & city agencies.

 

This position is a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days working from home) based out of our San Diego, CA office

Responsibilities

  • Track permit requests for multiple projects across project lifespans.
  • Helps with processing permit requests, including submittal of permit packages to agencies.
  • Obtains updates on permits and traffic control plans and updates project team accordingly.
  • Regularly disseminate information to team members on a timely basis.
  • Track deliverables and advise appropriate team members of item status.
  • Learn and apply new software tools or systems as needed.
  • Download and upload documents and client deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of permitting experience within in the utility, electrical, construction or civil industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret variety of gas and electric design plans.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of agency requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software such as tracking software and database systems.

 

The pay range for this California position is $35.00- $45.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
