Overview

The BioAnalytics Technician supports Analysts and Senior Technicians in the production, processing and classification of remote sensing data, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts across hydrology, forestry and land cover projects. The Technician produces accurate and precise products in a consistent and timely manner. 

 

Work Environment:

  • Location:  NV5 Corvallis, OR office
  • Travel < 10% of the time

Responsibilities

 

  • Supports production for hydrology, forestry, and land cover projects using remote sensing data 
  • Classification of data through photo-interpretation, and vector digitizing
  • Implements established QA/QC protocols  
  • Manipulates and classifies data with great attention to detail and efficiency 
  • Maintains precision and accuracy in high volume workflows 
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite 
  • Experience with ArcGIS and/or QGIS software

 

Preferred:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree 
  • One year experience with ArcGIS, and/or QGIS software
  • Strong writing skills
