Are you the experienced and creative Mechanical Designer that we’ve been looking for?  We are looking for passionate, driven Mechanical Designers to join our Mechanical Industrial Team focused on delivering engineering solutions with an interest in Industrial Process, Campus Utilities, and Institutional customers.  Join a team of professionals with expertise in designing central energy plants, upgrading plant mechanical systems, and helping customers with those one-of-a-kind engineering challenges.  Develop solutions for industrial ventilation and HVAC systems, steam and chilled water systems, compressed air and vacuum systems. Perform assessments, develop studies, and design new systems and upgrades for all things mechanical in the built environment.  Work in a multi-discipline team to deliver comprehensive engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Perform technical analysis and recommend and specify commercially available equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors and clients.
  • Work on multi-discipline teams to developed coordinated design documents
  • Develop plans, specifications and cost estimates for a limited number of concurrent projects.
  • Prepare studies, drawing or sketches as required; create final design documents.
  • Obtain and document field data by conducting field visits to project sites both in and out of state.
  • Although not frequent, some overnight travel may be required.
  • Be familiar and current with building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Technology from an accredited technical college
  • Two or more years of demonstrated design experience in facilities design and/or construction setting
  • Expertise with AutoCAD and industry standards
  • Some experience with Revit is desirable
  • Desire to work for higher education and industrial clients.
  • Desire to grow technically and professionally.
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
  • Experience with industrial utilities is desirable
