Overview

The Lidar Processing Associate Team Leader plays a supporting role to the Team Leader and works collaboratively with other  Associate Team Leaders to facilitate successful project completion. This individual helps supervise a team of knowledgeable workers who perform all production tasks required to move a project unit through from post-acquisition to delivery.  Responsibilities of this role include  personnel management of the employees within the team, monitoring and mentoring for technical and professional development, and the tracking of individual KPI metrics of team members. In addition, Associate Team Leads help to identify technical workflow and process improvement opportunities, project benchmark monitoring, and data quality control. The Associate Team Leader stands in as Team Leader when that individual is out of the office or otherwise unable to perform Team Leader duties.

Responsibilities

  • Production Supervision and oversight
  • Identification/driving/assessment of workflow process improvements and refinements
  • Assists in identification/communication of team resourcing needs
  • QC of internal and external workflow deliverables
  • Assists in implementation of and assurance of adherence to best practices and standards
  • Project Management
  • Monitors project archival tasks
  • Helps track project progress toward deadlines
  • Personnel management of Team Members
  • Employee supervision
  • Coordination with employees to establish and work toward individual goals
  • Leads Effort in Hiring of New Employees and Promotion of Team Members
  • Monitors and Mentors Team Members on Technical and Career Development Pathways
  • Collaborates with Team Leads, and Other Associate Team Leads, On Strategic Objectives
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Individual Performance
  • Implementation of individual employee KPIs (utilization, effective rate, etc)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Drive
  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional environment
  • 2+ years’ experience in a technical environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a management, science, or engineering program
  • Masters or higher
  • 3+ years’ experience in both a technical and professional environment
  • 1+ years’ experience managing teams
  • 1+ years' experience working with lidar data
