NV5, is seeking a full-time Transportation Project Engineer, for our offices in the Puget Sound region. The Project Engineer will be expected to complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets. This individual will also assist with mentoring junior transportation staff.

Responsibilities

  • The most frequent and essential work activities include:
  • Lead roadway design and plans production within the transportation design group.
  • Strong communication skills including both written and verbal.
  • Compile scope and fee for projects.
  • Assign tasks and communicate task expectations.
  • Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.
  • Communicate adequately with all team members and senior management.
  • Responsible for QA/QC process.
  • Monitor project finances monthly.
  • Monitor accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate with accounting for project billing summaries and invoices.
  • Assist with mentoring junior transportation staff.
  • Assist in marketing efforts for NV5 to DOTs and local municipalities to obtain new contracts.

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Washington PE license
  • Minimum of 8+ years experience in transportation engineering design and plans production for municipal and private clients
  • DOT design experience
  • Knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads preferred

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Washington PE license

The pay range for this Washington position is $135-000.00- $165,000.00 per year; based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. NV5 may provide restricted stock units, sign-on bonuses, stay bonuses, or relocation allowances as part of the compensation package. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are also offered to full-time employees, along with Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts, with employee and employer contributions. 3 weeks of Paid Time Off a year for full-time employees along with 8 paid holidays a year. 401(k) savings plan; Company Paid Basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance; Company Paid Short-term and long-term disability insurance are also provided.
