Responsibilities

NV5 is seeking a Transportation Group Manager, for our Albuquerque, NM office. The primary goal of the position will be to grow private sector traffic services – specifically traffic impact studies, DRIs, signal warrant studies, transportation plans, bike/ped plans, corridor studies, parking plans, traffic signal design, timing, safety studies, and the like.

 

Most frequent and essential work activities:

  • Complete traffic studies.
  • Train and develop staff for work in the private sector.
  • Interact with clients from project startup to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and of the highest quality.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Market NV5 to existing and potential clients and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Represent NV5 at professional functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
  • 8-10 years of directly related professional work experience
  • PE, or ability to acquire a PE in NM within one year of beginning work
  • PTOE and/or AICP, a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Traffic analysis software, Microsoft Office

  • Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing and grasping often with repetitive motion.
  • Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Weekend and overtime work and travel may be required.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
