The Lead Analyst works to support the Team Leader and Technical Specialists to ensure data flow and proper tasking within the team. This individual provides oversight to technicians and other analysts in support of the team leadership. This position will work individually and as part of a team to support data production in a ArcMap, CADD and Microstation environment; producing finalized data deliverables based on client requests. The Lead Analyst has knowledge of all aspects of the workflow and performs rigorous QA/QC and assists in training of analysts and technicians. A Lead Analyst produces consistent finished products and works to develop process efficiencies and improve methodologies.

Management Focus:

  • Aware of the status of all projects within the team
  • Assists the Associate and Team Lead with detailed tracking and evaluation of projects, ETCs, workflow management and tasking
  • Strong understanding of utilization rates
  • Ability to understand project contracts and scope of work
  • Effectively motivates associates across all levels
  • Ability to prioritize projects and tasking within the team
  • Provides direction to associates across all levels
  • Aids in hiring new team members
  • Assists in the monitoring of Management KPIs
    ○ Utilization rate
    ○ Effective rate
    ○ Project performance
    ○ Deadlines & benchmarks
    ○ LEAN parameters for entire workflow (regardless of discipline):
  • Value-add vs Non-value-add efficiency ratio
  • Data production velocity

Technical Focus:

  • Demonstrates good judgment in the selection of the methods and techniques in problem resolution and troubleshooting
  • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to take complex information and convey it easily
  • Ability to improve data processes
  • Performs rigorous QA/QC and data finalization practices
  • Excellent technical ability with ESRI, CADD and vector-based software
  • Ability to understand and apply Python and Visual Basic
  • Produces data reports and final deliverables
  • Ability to automate workflows and tasks
  • Assists in the monitoring of Technical KPIs

    ○ Manage and support the day-to-day operations of the team
  • Works with the Production Coordinator to:
    ○ Assist in contract review
    ○ Support planning and scheduling of internal projects / special initiatives
  • Works with the Business Analyst to:
    ○ Track strategic and operational KPIs
    ○ Assist in process improvement
    ○ Maintain as-is documentation
  • Works with the Operations Analyst to:
    ○ Prepare cost estimations
    ○ Identify and analyze cost trends
    ○ Assist in project retrospectives
    ○ Engage and coordinate with other CFTs, Acquisition, and Sales
  • Assists in the monitoring of Operational KPIs pertaining to strategic implementation:
    ○ Production
    ○ Agility
    ○ Goal targets vs actual
