NV5 has a need for a Junior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Department in our Parsippany, NJ office. We seek motivated candidates with 2+ years of structural design experience, with an emphasis on bridges and retaining walls. Engineers at this level leverage their experience to design portions of projects with increasing complexity, as assigned. Junior Engineer works under the direction of a Senior Engineer in developing construction-ready documents and plans for bidding, permitting, construction, and cost-estimating activities. The designer performs activities for structural design by following client, NV5, and industry standards, specifically working within AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenBridge and/or other applicable design applications for multiple clients including New Jersey Department of Transportation, (NJDOT), New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). This position will support multiple projects within the Parsippany and nearby offices and may require occasional travel.
Work under the supervision and mentoring of Supervising and Project Manager level engineering staff on project tasks such as;

The pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
