This position supports Analysts and Senior Technicians in the processing and classification of remote sensing data, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts across hydrology, forestry and land cover projects. The Technician is able to produce accurate and precise data in a consistent and timely manner. Primary duties of a Technician in the Biophysical Analytics group includes classification of data through photo-interpretation, and vector digitizing.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports data production of remote sensed data for hydrology, forestry, and land cover projects
  • QA/QC of final data
  • Manipulates and classifies data with great attention to detail and efficiency
  • Maintains precision and accuracy in high volume workflows
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with ArcGIS, and/or QGIS software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • One year experience with ArcGIS, and/or QGIS software
