We are currently seeking a Client and Project Manager with experience in providing client development and project management on higher education or industrial projects. The position is for an experienced individual with a track record in all phases of project development and project management including managing design and engineering consultants, contractors, and collaborating with both municipal and private clients.

Responsibilities

  • Desire to be part of and lead a multi-disciplined project team to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Interact with client stakeholders in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Client development and maintenance in the pursuit of future projects and the assurance of good on-going relationships
  • Lead the proposal process for the development of project proposals. 
  • Lead the development of projects from inception to completion by defining scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with client strategic goals.
  • Assemble and manage internal and external project teams including architects, site engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering and sub-consultants.
  • Develop and evaluate RFP's and contracts.
  • Review and monitor design and construction documents from concept design through final completion, including review of change-management documents, for compliance with criteria, standards, and specifications on each project.
  • Develop, maintain, and report scope, schedule, and budget status throughout the project, including review and recommendation of all project invoices.
  • Develop and monitor project organizational and administrative systems.
  • Create and maintain, or monitor, comprehensive project documentation.
  • Review and approve generation of project invoices.

Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, Engineering, or Facilities Management required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of building and facilities design and construction projects.
  • Desire and ability to work independently with excellent people skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively on large and diverse projects.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in design and construction projects, with 2-4 years of experience in client management and project management.
  • Software: Basic Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Bluebeam and other construction software a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Professional Registration or Project Management Certification desirable but not required.

Office Location:  Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Must be available to meet locally with clients and project teams.
