NV5 Orlando, FL office is seeking a Staff Engineer for projects in the Central Florida area markets. NV5 provides a full range of geotechnical engineering, environmental, geological,  and pavement consulting services. Companywide, NV5’s team includes dedicated engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, technical staff, and support personnel of a more than 3,500 person firm offering vast opportunities nationwide.


The position includes:

  • Performing geotechnical field exploration
  • Writing daily field reports
  • Construction monitoring and laboratory testing
  • Candidates will be part of a team that conducts geotechnical analysis
  • Prepares engineering reports and project deliverables
  • The position offers an opportunity for growth to perform geotechnical analysis, reporting, and project management.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred, but at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or working towards) required; emphasis in geotechnical engineering preferred but not required
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver's license
