NV5 is looking for a senior licensed Professional Civil Engineer with management experience to support the growth of a national clean transportation team. This position requires electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and EV supply equipment (EVSE) project experience including transmission and distribution related design, and structural working knowledge. Further experience requirements include EV charging station design, site planning and layout, grading and drainage design, erosion control, storm water management system design, utility design, permitting, American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance review and design, construction observation, pavement assessment and rehabilitation, parking assessments and planning, and site/storm water inspections. Engineers in this role plan and conduct work that requires keen judgement and can devise new approaches to solve design problems and oversee assigned projects. They are increasingly well-versed in leading engineering teams in planning, engineering, design, construction, and utility industry consulting on complex projects for local and national clients. Solid written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Engineers at this level are actively involved in the process of bringing in work for the firm. They plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work a project of moderate scope, or in a part of a major project. Engineers perform work that may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. This position requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of related specialties. The Engineer may often serve as a contact for clients, contractors, and other professionals. They may also serve as a project leader and are expected to coordinate the team’s work. Must be able to give direction to less-experienced designers and engineers and assist in staff development.

The pay range for this California position is $150,000.00- $180,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
