This position supports Analysts, Geocontractors, and other Senior Technicians in the processing and classification of remote sensing data, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts across hydrology, forestry and land cover projects. The Senior Technician is able to produce accurate and precise data in a consistent and timely manner. Primary duties of a Senior Technician in the Commercial and Environmental group includes classification of data through photo-interpretation and lidar processing, raster and vector digitizing, and advanced lidar classification.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports data production of remote sensed data for telecom, distribution, renewables, oil & gas, and land cover projects
  • QA/QC of final data
  • Manipulates and classifies data with great attention to detail and efficiency
  • Maintains precision and accuracy in high volume workflows
  • Supports team and individual goals
  • Assists in training of workflow and methods
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with ArcGIS, and/or QGIS software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • One year experience with ArcGIS, and/or QGIS software
  • 1+ year of experience in a professional work environment
  • Moderate knowledge of TerraSolid products
