We are seeking a Roadway Project Manager with Eight plus (10+) years of experience to become an integral part of our Transportation Design team. Come be a part of a growing Southeast NV5 team.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in marketing, writing proposals, winning work, and developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and deliver small, medium and large size transportation related projects.
  • Perform design tasks and/or lead a design team on various horizontal projects; including roads ranging from local rural roads to urban arterials and interstate highways.
  • Coordinate the work of a design team and outside consultants to develop Plans, Specifications and Estimate packages for multiple projects and a variety of clients.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure both client satisfaction and objectives are met.
  • Participate in client-rich professional organizations and technical societies.
  • Train and mentor young professionals and direct design technicians and CADD staff in plan production.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years engineering experience with a background in transportation and/or site civil design, including a combination of roadway, interstate, traffic, storm water, irrigation design and utility relocations. Traffic signal and roundabout design a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience managing tasks, small, medium and large sized projects and professional and technical staff.
  • Experience managing project budgets.
  • Solid understanding of transportation design and construction standards. Additional experience related to traffic engineering, environmental conditions / constraints, hydraulics and drainage experience a plus.
  • Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Demonstrated skills developing relationships with municipal, county and state agencies in support of transportation and/or site civil projects.
  • Experience with MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Designer (ORD), Autodesk Civil3D 2018.
  • Microsoft Office software applications experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management.
  • Adaptability and ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and team mentality required.
  • Experience with GDOT and local municipalities roadway design projects

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Certifications/Licenses

  • GA PE or ability to obtain within first 6 months required
  • Project Management Professional Certification desirable but not required
  • GSWCC Level II Design Professional Certification preferred
