We have a need for a Project Scheduler in Cleveland, OH working with NV5’s Solon Office team. The successful candidate will create and maintain a schedule for each of the projects he/she supports. The employee will work with Project Managers, Project Directors, Project Controls, Project Team Members to gain an understanding of project requirements to provide insightful schedule development and management. The employee will adhere to the Project Controls Scheduling Procedures including, but not limited to the development and analysis of project schedules, providing regular schedule updates, and performing impact analysis.


  • Prior to project start, create and revise schedule templates based on project type and scope, detailing the sequence of all work to be performed.
  • Interface with Project Manager and Functional Group Leads to discuss impact of work and resolution of problems.
  • Contribute to the development of project schedules which sufficiently illustrate the sequence of work activities and contract time.
  • Consult the appropriate project team members as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work
  • Provide information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedule,
  • Assist Contractors in understanding Contract Schedule Requirements and evaluate the contractor’s schedules against those requirements as a part of the bid evaluation process.
  • Support the Project Team with the evaluation and analysis of the updated contractors schedules, progress, and impacts.
  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.


Skills and Experience

  • A relevant degree plus five or more years of similar engineering and construction scheduling experience, equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience will be considered.
  • Exposure to large-scale construction project work is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of scheduling systems, principles and practices required.
  • Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs (i.e. Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Sure Trak) and collaborative schedule processes is beneficial.
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong client focus with proven success.

  • Strategic thinking, as well as a highly disciplined approach to the job, is required to be successful.
  • Self-motivational skills: ability to work independently.

  • Computer Skills: MS Office Suite with proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel.
