NV5 has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer / Geologist in our San Diego, CA office. The successful candidate will serve as an Engineer/ Geologist for both design and in construction projects. Candidate will also serve as Project Manager in the performance of geotechnical field evaluations and construction projects.
Duties include geotechnical subsurface evaluations, supervision of excavation subcontractors, logging and classification of soils in the field, and overseeing the performance of field compaction and concrete testing. Additional duties include compilation of geotechnical and construction materials laboratory test data, geotechnical calculations and performance of engineering calculations.
The capability to serve as a project manager for construction materials testing/inspection projects is expected.
