NV5 is seeking a full-time Planning/Environmental Services Group Manager for our Roswell, GA office. This position will manage planning and environmental staff. The group manager will also manage planning and environmental projects as well as provide assistance on projects and tasks managed by planning and environmental staff. The most frequent and essential work activities include:

  • Manage planners, senior planners, senior scientists, scientists, cultural resource specialists (including historians and archaeologists), assigned to the Roswell office, including work distribution and personnel management.
  • Establish, maintain and monitor schedules, budgets and staffing for projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and of the highest quality.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships.
  • Responsible for marketing NV5 to GDOT, local municipalities and other potential clients to obtain new contracts.


Prerequisites for employment include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, civil engineering, environmental sciences, geography, or other related field; or Master’s Degree in Archeology or Anthropology
  • AICP or PE certification in Georgia
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in planning or environmental services
  • NEPA experience required, including a working knowledge of the NEPA/Section 404 Merger Process
  • DOT experience a plus
  • Experience in managing projects and leading project teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat; Arc-GIS a plus
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment

  • Work will primarily be in the office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing and grasping often with repetitive motion.
  • Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
