    • You will prepare construction drawings and documents for high voltage substation projects including physical layouts, elevations, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Work under the direction of senior designers and engineers.
    • Meet client and NV5’s requirements and standards.
    • Manage and maintain design records and files
    • Complete as-built drawings.
    • Able to fulfill assignments that require independent judgment and evaluation.
    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced designers and engineers.
    • Minimal travel to client sites as needed. (10%)


    • Zero to 5 years of demonstrated CAD experience.
    • Associate Degree or Diploma in Electrical Technology from an accredited technical college or will attain degree within 1 year.
    • Capable of developing detailed construction documents and drawings based on concepts, verbal direction and/or sketches.
    • Proficiency of current CAD systems, including AutoCAD and MicroStation
    • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
    • Strong desire to learn and take on responsibility.
