    The Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator will play a significant role in new and ongoing projects in the Midwest Region. This role requires the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and may provide client interface in collaboration with the project manager. Additionally, this role requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of various project teams. The role includes coordination with small project teams to ensure project schedules and budgets are met while providing exceptional customer service and quality in deliverables to our clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for coordination and delivery of projects in tandem with Project Managers within the Midwest Region.
    • Process and respond to contractor RFI’s and submittalsAssist the project manager in creating and updating project plans within Deltek Vision.
    • Utilize Newforma for project management, document tracking, and construction administration.
    • Ability to work with numerous individuals and project teams by leveraging technology and project management tools for communication and coordination.
    • Maintain a high level of communication within each given project team and externally to the client. This includes written (project emails, meeting minutes, proposals) and verbal (documentation of conference calls) communication.
    • Assist the project manager in maintaining and applying a rigorous program of quality assurance and quality control; alert the project manager to instances of quality breaches; participate in project post-mortems.
    • Able to fulfill assignments that require independent judgment and evaluation.
    • Able to work with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation.

    Qualifications

    • Four (4) or more years of experience supporting project coordination or project management (for Assistant PM role).
    • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple assignments under budget and time constraints.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with team members, clients and management teams across different geographical locations and time zones. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skill.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
    • Financial management (Project budgets)
    • Valued but not required skills and experience:
    • Knowledge of Deltek Vision, Newforma, Bluebeam
    • Knowledge of the Construction Industry
    • Consulting experience
