    • You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of transmission line and related civil engineering problems involving power lines and substations. In this job, you will: 
    • Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects
    • Prepare technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements.
    • Complete detailed QA/QC reviews of design reports and construction packages
    • Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentoring junior staff. 
    • Travel to client sites as needed.


    • A BSCE, BSCET, or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
    • A concentration in structural engineering is strongly preferred.
    • Documented eight (8) or more years’ of progressive experience in the power delivery field designing transmission lines and associated structures is required. 
    • Excellent communication skills (written and public speaking)


    • Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration is required
