    NV5 is currently seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer for our St. Paul, Minnesota location to support our national service line of central utility plant and industrial mechanical systems solutions. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and ready to contribute to engineering teams in the delivery of mechanical systems through planning, engineering, design, commissioning, and energy consulting on complex projects for local and national clients.


    • Contribute to engineering teams in the delivery of industrial mechanical systems, central plants and district energy systems; planning, design, commissioning, energy optimization and consulting on complex projects.
    • Assist with business development and preparation of proposals.
    • Contact with clients for project work and maintenance of client relationships.
    • Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings.


    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Experience with design projects
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in consulting engineering design of mechanical projects.
    • Knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
    • Familiarity with building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with Revit software
    • Experience with MS Office Suite.
    • Proficiency with Revit software

    • Engineer-in-Training.

    • Licensed Professional Engineer
