    NV5 has a need for a Resident Engineer at its New York, NY location.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with the review of contractor submittals including demolition plan, health and safety plan, air monitoring plan, lead abatement plan, and others.
    • Overseeing Contractor’s and subcontractor’s daily work onsite and ensuring compliance with all approved submittals.
    • Maintaining as-built drawings throughout construction.
    • Reviewing contractor’s payment requests and recommending payment commensurate with job progress.
    • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and job photograph logs.
    • Meeting weekly with project management staff to discuss job progress and any potential issues related to contract compliance, budget, and schedule.
    • Attending monthly progress meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
    • Assisting with construction punch list and contract closeout.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors in Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 years of construction experience

    Certifications/Licenses:

    • PE license required.
