    Project Manager/Senior Engineer for Civil Engineering projects in Colorado with Water, Storm, Sanitary, Gas or Transportation background preferred. Responsible to oversee a team of engineers. Develop client relationships. Grow new business opportunities. Manage project financials. 

    Responsibilities

    • Working independently on projects in all phases from client contact to completion
    • Prepare project specifications and design drawings
    • Analyze existing and proposed infrastructure
    • Understand grading, drainage and erosion control, water and sanitary sewer distribution systems, storm sewer design and roadway design
    • Prepare opinions of probable cost
    • Solve problems on projects with minimal supervision, provide quality control, resolve technical issues
    • Coordinating internally with design and CAD technicians to ensure timely and accurate document and drawing preparation
    • Prepare proposals for project scope and fee
    • Client relationship management
    • Participate in Business Development (new business from existing clients)
    • Manage sub-consultants
    • Desire to learn to assemble and lead a project team and to deliver significant projects on time and on budget. General duties will be to act as the Owner’s Representative in all aspects of managing the development of new healthcare facilities, including:
    • Assemble and manage internal and external project teams including planners, architects, consulting engineers, contractors, vendors and consultants
    • Lead the development of projects from inception to completion by defining scope, schedule and budget in alignment with client strategic goals
    • Develop and evaluate RFP's and Contracts
    • Review and monitor design and construction document preparation from concept design through final completion, including review of change-management documents
    • Assist in the process of determining requirements for and lead the process of obtaining permits, entitlements and other requirements of Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
    • Develop, maintain and report scope, schedule and budget status throughout the project, including review and recommendation of all project invoice
    • Develop and monitor project organizational and administrative systems
    • Create and maintain, or monitor, comprehensive project documentation
    • Regularly inspect and document, and monitor design team, construction observations

    Qualifications

    • BS in Civil Engineering
    • 7+ years of experience
    • AutoCad Civil 3D and Civil Design software a plus
    • Microstation is a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Desire and ability to work independently with excellent people skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively on large and diverse projects.


    Certifications/Licenses:

    • PE Licensure in the State of Colorado
