The NV5 community outreach division has an immediate opening for an experienced part time public affairs/community relations specialist to manage, coordinate and implement public and business outreach for a public agency capital improvement project in Corona, CA.
Position will begin as a part-time, temporary with approximately 18 hours per week (on average). Winning candidate has the option to work out of the NV5 Corona, Irvine or San Diego office or home office.
The primary duties of the public outreach specialist include development and implementation of a communications plan, including target audience strategy, media relations and tracking, collateral material, public notification, business outreach, project updates, information line monitoring/response, contact databases, and activity reporting. This position requires creative thinking, excellent writing skills, the ability to work independently, attention to detail, the ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
About the NV5 Community Relations Division The NV5 community relations team creates and executes targeted communication and public outreach campaigns for public affairs, water, construction and environmental programs. Our communication professionals specialize in developing strategies to educate the public, promote awareness and increase support for the long-term success of public agency projects.
