The successful candidate will be working with a team of geo-spatial specialists in gathering, processing, and classifying LiDAR data and preparing it for use in topographic, utility, and civil design projects. The position will include learning and evaluating new software programs and helping the team develop and streamline processes, as well as performing production level work on projects. The position will also include working with other types of geo-spatial data to create maps and 3D models of data.

Responsibilities

  • Using various software packages, process, manipulate, and classify terrestrial and airborne LiDAR data, aerial photography, and other geo-spatial data.
  • Heavy computer use is required; some fieldwork may be necessary for GPS or other survey data collection.

Qualifications

  • General computer skills are required; ability to visualize 3 Dimensional data and work closely with other team members.
  • For fieldwork, he or she must have the ability to hike through various environments, including desert, brush, and mountains, and carry equipment up to 40 lbs.
