Overview

Provides supervision and coordination of multi-discipline design services. Projects will be of low to moderate complexity. Responsible for quality management, client relationship and financial success of projects based upon agreed fee structures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates project schedule with Client, design team and disciplines. May direct and supervise sub-consultants on projects.
  • Act as the lead contact person for client interaction with firm and the client’s decision maker as necessary based on client needs.
  • Ability to develop new clients/projects, working with past clients to develop new business lines/projects, listen for and seek out new projects that may exist or are being formulated, participate in the development of proposals as required.
  • Conflict resolution with internal staff, clients, and other consultants / disciplines.
  • Coordinates and oversees preparation of floor plans, site plans, and other drawings for complex structures.
  • Responsible for maintaining project coordination list and resolution of items to maintain project schedule.
  • Compiles specifications and contract documents
  • Assists in preparation of cost estimates and in coordination of construction and renovation projects.
  • Coordinates with the other firms’ offices to complete projects.
  • Assist regional directors and project managers to establish project teams. Be an active member of a project team when required.
    Provide advice, counsel, and peer review to ensure the technical appropriateness and accuracy of field work, including subcontractor work, and all documents and reports.
  • Develop and implement the client-focused educational programming that will be of value to existing and prospective clients and will contribute to achieving the company’s goals.
  • Be proactive in presenting and communicating the capabilities and strengths of the company to all publics.
  • Responsible for preparation of Additional Services Requests (ASRs).
  • Responsible for overall financial performance of project.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a design consultant or engineer including management experience.
  • Proven ability to perform the duties specified with prior experience at an equivalent level of responsibility.
