JBA, an NV5 Company, has an Electrical Designer opportunity at its Las Vegas, Nevada location.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain basic data form documents, occupant interviews and filed observations.
  • Prepares floor plans, site plans and other drawings for small construction and remodel projects using computer aided drafting and calculation techniques.
  • Compiles specifications and contract documents form existing sources for assigned projects.
  • Performs field observations of existing facilities to determine and verify relevant services and site layout, and to observe construction activities in relation to the design documentation.
  • Responsible for basic system sizing and layout and selection of system components.
  • Utilizes AutoCAD and/or Revit software and maintains current knowledge of CAD and/or BIM technology principles and applications.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven ability to perform the duties specified with prior project experience at an equivalent level of responsibility.
  • College level education preferred but not required.
