Mechanical Engineer II performs assignments designed to develop professional engineering work, knowledge, and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related and moderate engineering tasks. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Professional Activities:
Recommended: 4-7 years professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree within an engineering discipline.
Completion of the EIT exam is strongly preferred; Professional Registration is desired after 4 years of experience.
Must be able to travel to work-sites as needed or required
Understanding of applicable design codes.
Must be able to communicate with a variety of individuals; must be able to follow verbal and written instructions/directions and respond to inquiries.
Limited contact with clients and contractors. Works directly for the various Project Designer/Engineers according to assignment.
Understanding of applicable engineering codes.
Professional Activities:
Must be at least a member of (1) trade specific organization (ASHRAE, ASPE, AIA, etc).
