Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Technical Instructor. Strong capabilities in data engineering, geospatial analysis, and open source intelligence (OSINT) methodologies are required. The Training Coordinator will be based at US Army Garrison Miami/US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. The successful candidate will have an active TS/SCI clearance. 
 

Work Setting:

  • Onsite - US Army Garrison – Miami / SOUTHCOM HQ
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver advanced instruction to an expanded title authority program training audience such as Title 10/Title 50 Military Intelligence program and in areas such as:
    • Esri software and geospatial data analysis.
    • API-based data integration and request workflows.
    • Jupyter Notebooks-based data engineering and geospatial data layer creation. 
    • Metadata tagging, data stewardship, and catalog integration.
    • OSINT analysis techniques and structured reporting workflows.
  • Coordinate closely with the Training Coordinator to align technical content with approved training events and mission objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain a training data tracking and reporting capability to support program performance visibility and strategic planning. 
  • Collect and securely handle participant data across all training events. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Intelligence Studies, Data Science, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in OSINT, geospatial intelligence or all source intelligence technical training, curriculum development or applied instruction. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSINT methodologies, geospatial data analysis, or intelligence tradecraft.
  • Demonstrated experience with Esri ArcGIS and/or dashboard analytics, Jupyter Notebooks or other mission-relevant tools. 
  • Familiarity with secure data environments, role-based access controls (RBAC), and cataloging standards.
  • Experience working with international partners, interagency collaboration, and training program assessment.
  • Proficient in instructional design, adult learning methodologies, and hands-on training techniques.
  • Strong instructional delivery, communication and cross-cultural facilitation skills for effective knowledge transfer in diverse environments. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in creating and adapting hands-on instructional content for technical users, including practical exercises that simulate real-world data processing, analysis, and visualization tasks. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate documentation, post-training support, and dynamic engagement with both US and partner nation personnel. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks. 

Preferred: 

  • Language skills: ILR Level 2 or higher in one of the following languages: French, Portuguese or Spanish, while also having an ILR Level 2 or higher proficiency in English. 
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments. 

Clearance Requirement: 

  • Active TS/SCI preferred
