Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Security & Compliance Administrator. Strong capabilities in implementing and maintaining security and compliance frameworks across cloud and on-premises environments are required. The Security & Compliance Administrator will be based remotely supporting US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. The successful candidate will have an active Secret or higher clearance. 

 

Work Setting:

  • This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce security policies for data storage, access, and usage, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity mandates.
  • Support the Authority to Operate (ATO) process, including System Security Plan (SSP) development, security assessments, and continuous monitoring of vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to track security incidents, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev.5 and DoD IL4/IL5 requirements. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requriements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in security and compliance management. 
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting security audits, enforcing security policies, managing security tools such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, and identity management solutions, and ensuring compliance with DoD and IC security frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing security risk assessments, identity and access management 9IAM), continuous vulnerability monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response. 
  • Strong knowledge of zero trust architecture, security automation, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Defender, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Tenable Nessus.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks. 

Preferred:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments. 

Clearance Requirement: 

  • Active Secret or higher; TS/SCI preferred
