Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Project Manager. Strong capabilities in managing cloud-based enterprise GIS (eGIS) Task Order execution, tracking schedules, and mitigating risk to ensure project success are required. The Project Manager will be based at US Army Garrison Miami/US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. The successful candidate will have an active TS/SCI clearance. 

 

Work Setting:

  • Onsite - US Army Garrison – Miami / SOUTHCOM HQ
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Manage individual Task Orders, ensuring all milestones, deliverables, and performance benchmarks are met within approved schedules and budgets.
  • Track and report on programmatic risks, developing mitigation strategies for potential disruptions in execution. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in managing DoD projects. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project lifecycles, tracking milestones, and ensuring alignment with DoD acquisition policies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, resource planning, contract compliance, performance reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive deliverables within cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
  • PMP Certification. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (required), Lean Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or DAWIA Level II in Program Management.
  • Background in cloud-based eGIS design, development, implementation, and sustainment. 
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments. 

Clearance Requirement: 

  • Active TS/SCI
