Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting Help Desk Representatives. Strong capabilities in providing technical support for cloud-based and on-premises environments and ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT issues are required. The Help Desk Representative will be based remotely and support US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. A US Government Secret or TS/SCI clearance is preferred but not required. 

 

Work Setting:

  • This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
  • Potential travel up to 15-20% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for cloud-based and on-premises environments. 
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of IT-related issues. 
  • Apply IT troubleshooting methodologies, ticketing systems (JIRA, Service Now) and customer service best practices. 
  • Provide incident resolution, remote desktop support, and end-user assistance. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or three (3) years of equivalent experience in IT support. 
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 support tickets, assisting with enterprise device provisioning, and maintaining IT asset tracking systems. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and cloud-based IT support tools. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks.  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation Certification, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.  
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills. 
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments. 

 

Clearance Requirement: 

  • None required; active US Government Secret or TS/SCI preferred.
