Responsibilities

NV5 is seeking a Water Resources Senior Project Manager in Cary, NC, to lead engineering design, plan preparation, and project management within the Water Resources Group.  We are seeking a Civil Engineer with 12+ years of experience.  The primary roles and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Design and complete assigned projects on time, within budget and of high quality.
  • Perform design of hydraulic projects on a daily basis
  • Ability to work alone and in small groups
  • Assist in field surveys for hydraulic projects
  • Lead and mentor junior Water Resources staff.
  • Responsible for QA/QC process
  • Compile scope and fee for projects.
  • Monitor project finances bi-weekly.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Maintain and manage excellent communication with clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-3 years of previous water resources or engineering experience
  • EI certification a plus (at minimum-FE exam should be scheduled)
  • Knowledge of Open Roads and/or MicroStation / GEOPAK Drainage a plus
  • Previous hydraulic and storm drainage design related work experience a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • P.E. License

  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
