The Staff Engineer plans and conducts work requiring judgment and independent evaluation in the development and execution of subsurface exploration techniques, conducts engineering analysis, prepares reports, and provides construction project oversight. A Staff Engineer acts as a resource and specialist in the application of geotechnical engineering concepts, analysis, and principles in the discipline. The Staff Engineer works under the supervision of the designated location manager and senior staff.
The Staff Engineer will assist with projects from inception to completion, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, oversight of field technicians, engineering analyses, laboratory test results, and preparation of deliverables on schedule and within budget. The Staff Engineer is responsible for meeting the company’s objectives for chargeability, attention to detail, and have a strong willingness to learn.

The pay range for this position in California is $30.00 to $45.00 per hour. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
