Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting a Real Property Specialist who possesses sound expertise in Army real property standards as well as experience with GFEBS reporting, editing and required support documents. The Specialist must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. The Specialist must work well in team environments. The Specialist will validate existence and completeness of the real property assets in order to ensure the application of consistent business practices across the installations for conducting physical inventories and maintain accurate real property records.

 

Work Environment:

  • Location: Oberpfalz Bavaria area
  • Applicants must have been living in Germany for at least 12 months, and must already have a valid work permit or be otherwise authorized to work in Germany. 

  • European Union citizenship (preferred), US citizenship, or a German work permit, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment.

  • Travel < 10% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Must have an understanding of Army real property standards.
  • Experience with GFEBS reporting, editing and required support documents, and experience with and a working knowledge of the GFEBS Real Property Module data entry.
  • Ability to perform GFEBS updates and edits as required under the review of a responsible RPO.
  • Ability to conduct physical inventories and system updates.
  • Ability to demonstrate progress to the client and communicate issues related to unclear, missing, or incomplete information.
  • Ability to engage with local client staff and take technical direction from local subject matter experts.
  • Ability to accurately prepare deliverables for delivery to the client.
  • Ability to pass US DOD basic background check.
  • Ability to travel locally in Bavaria to surrounding USAG sites for field work collection.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in geography, computer science, surveying engineering, forestry, earth science or natural resources or a related field.

  • Experience with implementing the Army Real Property playbook, including preparing DD1354 forms, plans, drawings and other Key Supporting Document.

  • Working knowledge of GFEBS data entry, reporting, and editing.

  • 1 Year experience with Real Property.

  • Understanding of field data collection techniques and principles.

  • General computer skills, i.e. word processor, e-mail, spreadsheets, etc.

  • Fluent English language speaking and writing skillset.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in geography, computer science, surveying engineering, forestry, earth science or natural resources.

  • European Union citizenship preferred.

  • 2 or more years of experience with Real Property.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
