Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Drive New Business: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new opportunities in local government and commercial sectors.
  • Expand Existing Accounts: Deepen relationships with current clients to uncover additional needs and upsell solutions.
  • Deliver Value: Articulate the business impact of geospatial technologies and tailor solutions to client challenges.
  • Lead Proposals: Collaborate with our Bid & Proposal and Operations teams to craft winning proposals and accurate estimates.
  • Be a Thought Leader: Represent our brand at industry events, contribute to blogs and forums, and stay ahead of GIS trends.
  • Report & Forecast: Maintain a healthy pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts using CRM tools.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Proven success in selling technical or professional services, ideally within the GIS or geospatial domain.
  • Strong understanding of Esri technologies and their application in local government and commercial environments.
  • Ability to engage decision-makers, build trust, and close complex deals.
  • Consultative mindset with a knack for solving business problems through technology.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established network of contacts in State & Local Government.
  • History of exceeding sales quotas in a technical services environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Geography, GIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
