If you are aiming to grow your career within buildings / vertical structural design engineering, then our Jr. Structural Engineer opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position, having you provide valuable design insight on our Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Life Science structural design projects.

 

This position is based in our Raleigh, NC office.

Responsibilities

As our Structural Engineer, you will also:

  • Collaborate with teams of engineers, designers, and drafters to complete project deliverables.
  • Coordinate design work with other engineering disciplines.
  • Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product.
  • Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, STADD, Enercalc, SteelSmart, Simpson CFS Designer, RISA, and Revit.
  • Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
  • Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals.

Qualifications

If you possess the following experience & qualifications, we encourage you to apply:

 

  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering. M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • EIT certificate is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of relevant structural design engineering experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood). If you are a recent graduate, internship experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards and construction practices is required.
  • Strong time management and communication skills, verbal and written.
