Responsibilities

NV5 is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Project Manager with 8–12 years of experience in structural engineering to join our growing Parsippany office. This role offers the opportunity to lead structural projects across the public and private sectors, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help mentor junior staff in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage design and delivery of bridge and structural engineering projects for transportation and infrastructure clients (NJDOT, NJTA, counties, municipalities)
  • Oversee preparation of construction documents, design calculations, and specifications
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants
  • Communicate directly with clients, presenting updates and addressing design needs
  • Support proposal development and participate in project interviews as needed

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (M.S. a plus)
  • PE license required (NJ PE preferred)
  • 8–12 years of experience in bridge or structural design
  • Proficiency with AASHTO LRFD, MicroStation/InRoads, and structural design software (LARS, STAAD, LEAP, etc.)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in team setting
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year. Base pay offered for this New Jersey based role may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
