We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Air Quality Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and regulatory compliance (reporting and permitting). This role involves managing complex air quality projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and providing expert guidance to clients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage air quality assessments and impact analyses for various projects.
  • Ensure compliance with CEQA and other relevant environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, including air quality impact assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Conduct air quality modeling and data analysis.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients on air quality issues and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete air quality permits under SCAQMD, SJVAPCD, BAAQMD and other Air Districts, including Title V Permits
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement air quality management strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in air quality regulations and best practices.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in air quality consulting, with a focus on CEQA and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of air quality regulations, including CEQA, the Clean Air Act, and local air district rules.
  • Proficiency in air quality modeling software (e.g., AERMOD, CalEEMod).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., QEP, PE) are a plus.

The pay range for this California position is $140,000- $180,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
