NV5 is currently seeking an Analyst to support the Land Cover group in producing various land use and land cover datasets. The Land Cover group supports the production of a variety of land use land cover geospatial datasets. An Analyst supports technical teams by completing tasks with limited oversight. The Analyst should be comfortable working both individually and as part of a team to support data production workflows using tools such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, SQL Server, and cloud environments. Familiarity with vector and raster geospatial data should be strong enough to support finalization of project deliverables.
Communication both internally and externally is required. Internally, an Analyst will coordinate closely with the technical leaders and project managers towards the completion of project requirements and provide technical support, quality control, and training for technicians. Externally, an Analyst should have the ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients and/or partners to support the sharing of data insights and to ask questions that inform the creation of best products possible within project constraints.
The Analyst will also work toward identifying and developing process improvements and efficiencies. It is expected that areas of specialty may start to develop within this position.
