Responsibilities

This is a leadership role with an opportunity for advancement as our CEI group continues to grow. We are offering a career opportunity with hands-on training, mentoring, and professional development.
 
Main Responsibilities (but not limited to) the following:
  • Perform duties associated with the oversight, administration and inspection of transportation projects including roadway and/or bridge to determine contractor’s compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of the contractor's daily operations and events that affect the work;  monitor and inspect contractor's work zone temporary traffic control plan and review modifications to the plan.
  • Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
  • Perform sampling and testing of materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract.
  • Oversee activities, inspections, reports, and documentation performed by CEI Inspectors.
  • Assist the Project Oversight/Project Administrator.
  • Provide mentorship and support to less experienced team members while serving as lead inspector on multi-inspector projects
  • Responsible for timely communication of events of note and general progress directly to Project Oversight/Project Administrator.

Qualifications

Education, experience, licensure, and skills

  • High School Diploma
  • 4 year’s experience in construction inspection
  • Must pass mandatory DMV check
  • FDOT experience preferred
Certifications:
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection (Desired)
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (Desired)
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I (Desired)
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • FDOT Critical Structures Construction Issues Self Study
