Responsibilities

Desire to be a part of and lead a project team and to deliver projects on time and on budget. General duties will be to act as the Owner’s Representative, including:

  • Engage with clients as the primary contact for the NV5 project team.
  • Lead project teams on behalf of NV5 clients.
  • Interact with client executives in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Assemble and manage internal and external project teams including planners, architects, consulting engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Lead the development of projects from inception to completion by defining scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with client strategic goals.
  • Develop and evaluate RFP's and Contracts.
  • Review and monitor design and construction document preparation from concept design through final completion, including review of change-management documents.
  • Assist in the process of determining requirements for and lead the process of obtaining permits, entitlements, and other requirements of Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Develop, maintain and report scope, schedule and budget status throughout the project, including review and recommendation of all project invoice.
  • Develop and monitor project organizational and administrative systems.
  • Create and maintain, or monitor, comprehensive project documentation.
  • Regularly inspect and document, and monitor design team, construction observations
  • Ultimately responsible for internal NV5 project controls and performance, such as fees and proposals, staffing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the proposal writing process in pursuit of new business.
  • Manage and mentor junior-level and/or cohort staff.
  • Collaborate on the development of in-house training for staff.
  • Assist with developing new business.

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

  • Aviation, Mission Critical/Data Center, and/or Healthcare project related experience preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, project management, engineering, or facilities management preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively on large and diverse projects; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 8-10 years or more of experience in design and construction projects with 4-8 years supervisory experience managing a project or consultant team.
  • Extensive professional network within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Development industry in the Colorado and Mountain West markets.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Professional Registration (Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, etc.) or Project Management Certification desirable but not required.
  • Software: basic Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook skills. Bluebeam Revu, CADD, BIM and other scheduling software a plus. Deltek Vision experience a plus.
  • Project related travel will be required.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $100,000.00- $120,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
