If you are a CADD Designer aiming to grow your career within Geomatics & Surveying, then our Survey CADD Designer opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position having you utilize your experience in preparing construction drawings and other documents to design portions of projects, as assigned.

 

You will support multiple Construction, DOT, Land Development surveying projects. This includes being part of a project team and working on developing construction-ready documents and plans for bidding, permitting, construction, completion, and cost-estimating activities. All work activities for Geomatics & Surveying will follow client, NV5, and industry standards, specifically working within AutoCAD & MicroStation applications.

 

This position can is based in NV5’s Cary, NC office. This role has potential to be hybrid or full-time remote after initial onboarding & training period.

Responsibilities

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Use computer-aided drafting tools such as AutoCAD & MicroStation, as well as technical handbooks, utility standards, tables, and calculators to create relevant drawings and 3D models.
  • Work under the direction of lead designers and design supervisors.
  • Complete as-built drawings.
  • Prepare studies, perform field surveys, document existing conditions, and/or recommend design solutions.
  • Process field crew data.
  • Prepare state DOT mapping.

Qualifications

If you possess the following experience & qualifications, then we would love to learn more about you!

  • 2+ years of AutoCAD & MicroStation experience
  • OpenRoads Designer (ORD) knowledge is a plus.
  • 2+ years of Surveying and/or Subsurface Utility Engineering experience
  • A.S. technical degree is a plus.
