Responsibilities

The Photogrammetrist provides support to a national security customer, including, but not limited expertise in Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) processing and analysis, generation of point clouds from Electro-Optical imagery (EO), and co-registration of multi-source datasets to create geodetically accurate 3D datasets. In support of deploying geodetic survey teams, Photogrammetrists will develop and assemble multi-source, 3D remote reconnaissance packages. They will solicit and develop requirements with end users and mission teams, provide statistical analysis of data quality, and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation, integrated lessons learned and user feedback. Applying or improving existing data standards, they will optimize package production and sources, geodetic survey processes and procedures using LiDAR, EO point clouds, and photogrammetric methods. The Photogrammetrist will engage, brief, train, and advise internal and external partners to assist integration activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of photogrammetry, including LiDAR processing and analysis and EO point cloud generation.

  • Experience processing and analyzing LiDAR or EO point clouds and documenting precision and error in accordance with data standards.

  • Experience co-registering datasets to WGS84 and performing statistical analysis to determine absolute and relative error.

  • Experience using QT Modeler, Socet Set/SocetGXP, ArcGIS Pro or similar elevation or point cloud processing and analysis software.

  • Experience developing project plans with milestones and deliverables, tracking progress, and status reporting.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) field; or military equivalent. Additional experience can be substituted for education.

  • Geodetic surveying or land surveying experience or coursework.

  • Knowledge of photogrammetric, geodetic, or statistical principles.

  • Understanding of Sensor Evaluation processes and procedures.

  • Knowledge with standard NGA products, systems architectures, and unclassified cloud environments.

  • Proficiency with Python scripting is preferred.

  • Candidates may be required to demonstrate stereo vision capabilities.

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a Counter-Intelligence (CI) Polygraph. 

Competencies & Skills:

  • Ability to apply structured processes to enrich or manage data.

  • Ability to apply GEOINT standards and quality.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of data exploitation techniques.

  • Comfortable working with a team to achieve project completion.

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite
