Engineering Technician I

Our Engineering Technicians are responsible for:

• Reviewing plans and specifications to determine testing and construction requirements
• Communicating with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to verify project requirements
• Performing construction observation and materials testing
• Preparing reports on a laptop in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Communicating test results to the contractor and Project Manager
• Tracking and re-testing non-conformances
• Communication with the Project Manager regarding technical issues or schedule changes

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience in construction and/or construction materials testing
• Ability to operate testing equipment in accordance with our safety standards
• Ability to use a laptop with Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare field reports
• Insurable driving record
• Valid CA Driver's License

Certifications and experience are a plus:

• AWS/CWI
• ICC
• ACI
• Caltrans
• AASHTO
• Troxler

The pay range for this California position is $25.00- $32.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
